Macaroni and ham croquette

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of macaroni
  • 8 Sliced Cheddar-style cheese
  • 2 Slices of white ham or Gaspesian ham (You could also use another sliced Gaspesian ham of your choice!)
  • Chopped fresh basil, to taste

Preparation

  1. Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a large skillet, place 2 slices of cheese. Add some macaroni on top of each slice, then cover again with 1 slice of cheese.
  3. Place 1 slice of white ham on only one portion.
  4. Stack the two portions together so that the ham is in the center. Continue cooking for a few minutes.
  5. Remove the skillet from the heat and let rest for a few minutes. Cut in half, sprinkle with basil if desired, and serve as is or with your favorite dipping sauces!
